Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The product is being used by marketing and sales, and it speaks to our CRM system more natively than our previous product which did not integrate at all. Now the contacts we receive are delivered across the sales cycle to make us more reactive and nimble in our marketing efforts.

Scenarios where Marketo would best be used is in a team that can scale it effectively and bring it up to its full potential. I wouldn't see it as a "just starting out" CRM unless you're willing to put in the legwork to get it fully implemented. It works really well with Salesforce.
