Overall Satisfaction with Marketo

We use Marketo across the whole organization to better understand our leads as well as our customers, and tailor our communication based on their behaviour. From the lead generation via our website, blog and dedicated campaign landing pages, across the complete e-mail marketing to prospects, customers and users towards the scoring of prospects and customers based on their behaviour - Marketo provides us the necessary tools and insights.
  • Integration with Salesforce (sync and process integration).
  • Scoring based on behaviour and demographics.
  • Ease of integration with GoTo Webinar.
  • Flow definition.
  • Database Management.
  • User Experience (especially after the latest front end update).
  • Flexibility with templates for mails and landing pages.
  • Handling in General - if you are used to it, it is great. If not, you will struggle a lot.
  • Design - it is not visually appealing. Not at all.
  • When integrating with SFDC, a lot of effort has to be put into the mapping.
  • Product Launches
  • Upsell
  • Cross-Sell
  • Lead Management
  • Prospecting / New Business
For new business, we aim to generate MQLs (Demo Requests, Product Sign ins). We do that by regular e-mails and engagement programs as well as by the very nicely integrated GoToWebinar webinars. Webhooks that populate Product Sign-ups with existing Marketo data work really well.
For existing customers, we aim to either upsell or inform. The lead management for this is to be improved for our organization (sync between our product and Marketo), as of the moment we download selections of leads via Excel from our product and upload in Marketo.
Marketo was out of the question, as the main users within our company had great experience using the product already with previous companies. At Avrios, we used hubspot before, but were not convinced because of the poor setup we found when joining the company. To be honest - for a professional and scalable approach, there are not many alternatives to Marketo.
Lead gen and management / scoring via mails, forms, landing pages works great, if you stick with the existing templates. It is very complicated and/or requires additional skills to work on templates - other tools in the market are far easier to handle.
