An Honest Marketo Review
Overall Satisfaction with Marketo Marketing Automation
We currently use Marketo for our marketing automation efforts, including emails, landing pages, and scoring. Our entire organization uses Marketo and it gives us the ability to easily email prospects and customers, track who is visiting landing pages and downloading content, maintain our database, upload lists, and run reports.
Pros
- The Salesforce integration is pretty sound.
- Can run several campaigns and programs in the background without having to touch them everyday.
- Easy to design landing pages, emails, and forms.
Cons
- I think the campaign logic could be a little easier. Sometimes there are many ways to get to the same result and it would be nice to make this more straightforward.
- I wish the analytics was better and easier to drill into. It's hard to get at the information you want sometimes and it doesn't always align with Salesforce reporting.
- I wish there was an integration with my WordPress blog so I could easily send an email notification and post to social when blog articles are published.
- I can't speak to ROI because we haven't been able to use Marketo to its full capacity yet.
- Silverpop Engage,Vertical Response
Marketo is definitely far superior to Silverpop and Vertical Response. We ran into limitations very quickly with the other two products.
