We use MasterControl Quality Excellence for documents and training. It helps us to be more efficient in document creation, revision and ensuring the documents are appropriately approved. In addition, we use it for training to create on-the-job trainings as well as job codes to ensure our staff are assigned the appropriate training to ensure we remain in compliance

Usability

If you were used to other document management systems or EQMS systems, it takes a while to get used to MasterControl Quality Excellence.

Alternatives Considered

Veeva Vault Quality

The system was already selected before I started. Based on my experience, Viva vault is easier to use and more more powerful than MasterControl Quality Excellence. At the time I started. I see good improvements with where the system is going with Master control via the adapt platform.

Likelihood to Recommend

Training administration can be difficult based on the various reports that you have to pull to put documents, training courses and job codes together. It makes it difficult for department hence to review the job codes that exist in the system and what might need to change. From the document standpoint the system is info card driven as opposed to document driven if that makes sense. It takes a while for users to get the hang of how the documents module works
