Medisoft has a lot of good features already programmed, but customization is excellent too!
Overall Satisfaction with Medisoft
Medisoft is used across our entire organization for EMR and Practice Management. Our medical assistants use it to schedule patients, check them in and out, and our physicians use it during the exam as well as after the exam. Our billing department uses the practice management component for billing and posting to keep patient accounts updated.
Pros
- Medisoft is relatively easy to use.
- There are a lot of customizable features.
- Training users on the product is not a long process because it is intuitive.
Cons
- Some of the reports I'd like to be able to run are not available.
- Reporting features that should be available are only available at an extra cost.
- The cost of the assurance is too high.
- Medisoft is a good product, but I feel the cost of assurance is too high.
- With all the different components each being billed separately adds up quickly.
- Keeping patient charts/bills up to date is pretty easy.
- Insync Healthcare Solutions and NextGen Healthcare Clinical Care Solutions (including MediTouch)
Both Insync and MediTouch lacked in the customizable features. I was on the phone with support for Insync nearly every day trying to build out progress and procedure note templates. Their system was not intuitive at all - in fact, it was very confusing. MediTouch didn't have enough features as a whole. There were a lot of things missing in the functionality.
