Overall Satisfaction with memoQ
We are using memoQ regularly but only for certain accounts. It’s not our main CAT tool and mostly we are using it as per our clients’ requests. It’s a good option with a cloud feature, but it can be quite slow sometimes.
- Online projects feature
- Detailed customization such as project templates
- Various export options such as plain, XLIFF, RTF, etc.
- Sometimes the program gets really slow and we experienced this with different PCs
- The multilingual TMs should not be separate. TM management gets complicated with this program.
- TM matches can get duplicates. It doesn’t overwrite and I believe there is no option to customize this. After that, you can only use the remove duplicate option.

- Being able to create web licenses for translators
- Advanced customization
- Some basic tasks such as analyzing can get very time consuming
- Being able to assign web licenses to translators so they don’t have to purchase
- Having a memoQ license kept our relationship going with our clients
We are using memoQ for only certain projects and it’s not our main tool. It’s relatively slow and sometimes it can get too complicated. It does the job in the end but we prefer Memsource because of its easy-to-use interface as time is very important for us as project managers.
