SiteScope- Does it live up to expectations? Find out below!
Overall Satisfaction with Micro Focus SiteScope (formerly HP SiteScope)
SiteScope is being used to monitor the production URLs for the Client based in news and media. The entire infrastructure is being monitored using the Micro Focus toolstack and SiteScope is at the core of it.
Pros
- Alerts can be configured as per business requirement.
- It can take remedial action, when defined for a particular situation.
- Severity, priority of tickets which are created upon a trigger can be well defined.
- The teams which need to be alerted can be configured in the tool itself, in case of any event.
Cons
- It requires integration with other tools for alert generation and routing.
- It needs to provide some ease of usage as many free counterparts offer, this being licensed, needs to prove its utility better than the free tools available.
- It alerted beforehand where the attention of a particular team was needed.
- It removed the need of manual intervention every time, round the clock.
- Once configured properly, the application needs little or no maintenance.
- Privileges of users can be decided by the admin so the role based access helps a lot to decide the accesses.
The product offers unique out of the box monitoring templates and offers the flexibility to create our own conditions for alert generation in case of an event. It integrates well with the other Micro Focus suite applications, hence all alerts from various tools can be viewed and routed to the correct teams from a central Monitoring Server.
