Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am a member of an incredibly collaborative department within a large enterprise and we heavily lean on MS 365 products like Teams to streamline communication amongst ourselves and our clients, organize important internal and project-related documents and to receive important community updates through a Viva Engage integration. We also leverage SharePoint for our internal resources site as well as our external site meant to serve our business partners. The fact that we can do so much across a connected group of products supports the collaborative approach we seek in our work.

Pros

Offering communication options to meet different needs (channels/chats)
File organization and permissioning
Supporting a connected ecosystem for your work
Providing enough flexibility through integrations

Cons

With so much to offer, it is challenging to fully understand what is fully available or how to make the most of the premium business plan

Return on Investment

Streamlines comms needed to close gaps, which supports on time or early delivery
Reduces time needed to locate important information, documents, etc.
By having most of your day-to-day needs available in one product package, it also promotes time saving and a more positive integrated experience.

Usability

While I find MS office to be fairly easy to use, I acknowledge that there are features, integrations and offerings that are more technical in nature and also more powerful in streamlining work, but best serve those who have the time to become a super user.

As a service provider with a complex operating model that has us in multiple workstreams (internally and externally), MS 365 Business Premium helps us stay organized and streamlined. If we were a smaller office setting with less complexity in the way we worked, I could see how a simpler solution might be more sufficient.
