Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Planner
Microsoft Planner was implemented so that we could use it in conjunction with our Office 365 subscription. It seemed to be the best route for our company to take since the majority of our office has years of experience using Microsoft software. We were looking for a software that would allow us to plan and schedule our current projects. Being a construction company that has anywhere from 30-50 jobs under contract at any given time, it is very important to us to be able to communicate efficiently from the office to the shop and field.
Pros
- Scheduling
- Integration of other microsoft programs
- communication
Cons
- The learning curve seems like it could be reduced
- The layout isn't our favorite out of the other softwares we looked at
- Digital clutter from not seeming to not being able to create folder trees
- Task Management
- Scheduling
- Communication
- We are having less issues in the field due to better communication with the office
- Some items seem to not save us any time or might take a hair longer than they use to
- Scheduling of task is seamless
- Todoist: To-Do List & Task Manager
Microsoft Planner won out over Todoist due to it's ability to integrate other software and allow us to be able to do more work in one software. The project management functions were superior as well. Probably the biggest advantage was the task management. We liked how it worked better for our company.
