Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Visio

Microsoft Visio is being used across the organization. Our Network and Security teams use it for network diagrams, analysts to depict the process flow diagrams, architecture for system context and data flow diagrams, operations to draw ITIL processes
  • Easy to find shapes and stencils.
  • Built-in templates.
  • The software is not intuitive.
  • It is quite expensive.
  • Time saved on creating diagrams.
  • Common platform and communication tool across the organization.
I have never evaluated any similar products.
I have never had to contact support, however, there are lots of stencils that can be downloaded or purchased built by the community.

Microsoft Visio is great for a variety of diagrams. It' has a number of templates for data/process flow diagrams, network diagrams, and floor plans. The convenience of drag and drop feature makes it fast to build visually appealing diagrams which serve as a great communication tool. Its ability to export to PDF is also very handy.
