Overall Satisfaction with MicroStrategy Analytics

  • Ease of creating Advertiser Based Playbooks that empowered sellers during their sales call.
  • Flexible to update, modify, and uniformly deploy.
  • At times more set templates were restrictive and not adjusting to accommodate more data points.
  • Refreshes of certain data points prevented daily frequency.
  • Formatting at times would reset to defaults.
We compared Microstrategy vs many other vendors, and based on the price-value ratio there was no vendor even close. The implementation was the smoothest out of 4 BI tools that I have been a part of onboarding. If you are using this from a financial reporting or sales playbook format, no other product can provide the cross platform linkages needed to tell a complete story of business/advertiser performance.
I would recommend understanding the needs of the end user and having the full scope available so that the proper project can be scaled in the timeline defined. Phasing may need to happen as you problem solve for elements that require modification in order to fit into the analytics tool/cube.

Update Dec-14, this continues to be a game changer for our decision making and ability to flex with the changing media landscape.
