Overall Satisfaction with Mimecast Awareness Training

We use Mimecast Awareness Training in a targeted manner, choosing topics relevant to what we've been seeing as issues at the time. The videos are entertaining and encourage end-users to learn about safer use of IT systems. The videos enforce the messaging we provide staff and helps limit the number and/or severity of cyber security incidences. We have seen an improvement from users in their knowledge and time spent from IT staff educating and dealing with security matters.

Pros

  • It provides relatable situations in a humourous and entertaining manner
  • It provides a wide range of topics and scenarios
  • Users can easily access the platform and test their knowledge
  • It gives us great tools to capture which users are doing well and the ones needing more attention and safeguarding

Cons

  • Sometimes the answers are not quite right
  • At times, I think the content could be a little more complex
  • More localised content would be greatly accepted - Optus and Medibank breaches for instance
  • It helps provide IT we context when explaining security concepts
  • Has helped save IT time
  • Provides us with insights into user behaviour and learning opportunities
  • Helps us with our cyber security insurance
Yes, we have seen users improve their attitude and behaviour towards cyber security. In other instances, it has empowered staff to help their colleagues.
We don't have tech savvy users, so to be able to deliver content in a funny and easy to consume style suits our staff
Mimecast was the one and only product we looked at in great detail and we are happy with it.

I think our userbased isn't very tech savvy and aren't very interested in IT. These videos suit this audience well and makes life easier for IT to lean on Mimecast
