Mimecast Security Awareness Training is a high value solution
Overall Satisfaction with Mimecast Awareness Training
Security awareness training is used to keep the business aware of common threats as well as new vectors of attack that emerge over time. It provides real world examples and highlight high profile targets areas bad actors may try to take advantage of. It gives the audience an understanding of why the targets are chosen and what we can all do to employ better security practices.
Pros
- Highlights current security concerns
- Explains why they're areas of concern
- What people can do to mitigate the risks
- Short and entertaining to boost engagement
Cons
- Increased frequency of content updates
- Backend support has been lacking
- Great platform honestly, and I don't have a lot of criticism
- Good engagement with user base and information security
- Higher volume of reported concerns and suspicious activity
- Provides a measure of people who participate in the program
We have been able to reduce risk across the organization using security awareness training. We receive regular feedback about the positive impact of employee behavior improving due to the training modules. Feedback from each campaign helps us determine areas we should give more attention to. We do not use the email security gateway.
The particular format employed by Mimecast makes the content fun and approachable. Security in general can put people on the defense or can be less than engaging. By presenting a serious topic in a more humorous presentation, users are happy to watch the short video and take the quiz at the end. The quiz isn't always a slam dunk answer, and it will provide a meaningful explanation when someone submits an incorrect response.
