Overall Satisfaction with Motive

I ordered the Motive ELD for my husband to put in his truck. We got it in the mail extremely quick. We got it installed and my husband is very happy with the service. My husband wants to figure out how to add the fuel receipts to the camera just to make it easier for him however I absolutely love having the Motive ELD.

Pros

  • They send alerts to my email so that I know when my husband takes a hard corner.
  • They send me alerts for hard braking.
  • They are super helpful and informative when you need anything from them.

Cons

  • They don't have a tablet to use for the ELD.
  • They don't have a GPS device other than the cell phone of the driver.
  • The camera to upload the fuel receipts could be much easier explained.
  • My husband doesn't complain about the Motive ELD.
  • He comes home more often than not in a better mood, unlike the truck x device.
  • It helps me to know how he's doing in the truck.
The only contact I have had with Motive is to order the hardware and devices. I know that if I have a reason to contact customer support I will have no problem talking to someone and resolving the issue. I don't see any reason for calling them for now. I am so happy with Motive.
It's awesome. Easy to install, order and use. I would like to learn how to use the dashcam scanner for the fuel receipts to make it easier on my husband. I'm just trying to get a lot of things done for now so eventually I will get on the phone with Motive customer support and let them walk me through the process.
We haven't had any problems nor complaints to make a fuss over. The overall of Motive is great 👍. They get that having a reliable ELD for the trucking industry is a major plus for the drivers and owner operators. Overall my husband and I are so pleased with Motive.
Truck X customer support is extremely difficult to understand and they take a very long time to complete one task. Each time my husband or I called it was nothing short of 20 minutes and they would talk as though we were just too stupid to make their device work properly.

The only scenario that I have experience with is the emails for hard braking and corners. My husband uses the ELD. To the best of my knowledge he has no complaints with the device. It's better than the first ELD he purchased and it definitely works better. I highly recommend against everyone who needs an ELD, do not purchase anything from Truck X
