Overall Satisfaction with Motive
We switched to Motive when the state requirements were updated to necessitate digital log books for our big truck drivers. Unfortunately, none of our drivers are full time drivers and this leads to a lot of confusion and forgetting to update these digital logbooks. If the state would let us return to paper logs we would, and everyone here would be far less stressed when we do have to drive the big trucks.
- They have a good install team
- In my opinion, the app can be confusing to drivers, I am often having to remind them how to sign in properly, and to be honest I do not know if I am instructing them right.
- I think it is weird that filling out a pre-inspection report does not connect the phone to the appropriate truck automatically.
- Personally, I do not care for the need to sign logs for days where you did not drive, I sign more of those than actual driver reports.
- By using this product we abide by state requirements. (No fines)
- Since installing this product in our trucks we have had HIGHER driver turnover, although I am not sure this is linked to the product.
- The president of the company believes the product is draining the truck batteries when the vehicles are not in use.
I would dispute the "Ease of use" as mentioned above our drivers have a very difficult time with the electronic logs now required by law.
