Overall Satisfaction with NetBase
Our organization uses NetBase to complement social media content generation for clients. This is a fairly new endeavor for our team and NetBase support is critical to ensuring that we are delivering the most relevant information. In a world full of analytics tools, NetBase offers a comprehensive solution for many of our analytics needs pertaining to conversations about specific issues important to the client. We're better informed to make recommendations to the client on content generation and can provide an improved story of influencer impact.
Pros
- Comprehensive overview of entire conversation on a topic: Pulls in an amazing amount of content enabling an analyst to pull bits and pieces relevant to the conversation.
- Enables analyst to tweak searches with an easy filter option.
- Dashboards house multiple related searches for efficient monthly reporting.
Cons
- NetBase is a serious analytics tool which takes weeks of use to really learn and be comfortable with.
- You will not be able to pull a full report on the first day you use it but once you get the hang of it, the potential searches and data comparisons you can execute are virtually limitless.
3 - There are three people that use NetBase on a daily basis at the firm currently - the head of digital, the client lead and account director, and the senior associate who provides support to the account and generates regular analytics reports.
- Still too new to really tell; but we're starting to incorporate use of analytics in new business pitches as well.
- Client are excited about the ability for consultants to now recommend actions based on analytics for future content generation to maximize influence and impact.

NetBase really does offer the most comprehensive tool compared to other offerings. It does take a while to learn and figure out all of the functions (because there are so many) but support is always available to provide guidance.
