Network for Good--easy to onboard, great customer service
Overall Satisfaction with Network for Good
We use Network for Good as our marketing database. It is used across our whole organization. It makes many of our communications with our supporters easier than other databases that we have tried. We are using "Text to Give" features and also attaching some to text messages to improve our impact. Network for Good is good for reminding us of donors that we need to thank for their gifts. A couple of times a year they provide a free campaign that we can follow to re-engage lapsed donors.
Pros
- They provide online support most every weekday; they call it office hours.
- They show instant results when donations come in.
- They provide a customizable format for campaigns.
Cons
- Most campaigns are driven by a mailing group. I would like to see an easier way to remove people from a group after they have responded so we don't keep asking them after they have done so.
- After sending a text or email blast, I would like to have a mass update to the comment field of each person in the group.
- I would like to see Network for Good automate things a bit more (e.g., if they open and email, send an automated email, or set a task, etc.).
- I would like to see more dynamic campaigns (e.g., if the special field called "level of interest" is greater than five, do this), etc.
- They provide online support most every weekday through office hours.
- They show instant results when donations come in.
- They provide a customizable format for campaigns.
- It helps us track our donations and compares them with a year ago so we can get a feeling for where we are.
- It warns us when we have a lapsed donor, so we can capture that lost revenue.
- It gives us the option of receiving our income generated monthly or as the transactions come in (within a couple of days). There is a fee for the latter but it's worth it. It helps our cash flow.
We are experiencing much better customer service with Network for Good and it is much simpler to use than open-source apps like Salesforce, which almost require an IT staff just to keep you in operation. You cannot customize Network for Good the way that you can Salesforce, but for us, it is a good trade-off.
