Overall Satisfaction with Omnissa Horizon

We use it for empoyees who work remotely. It provides a secure and easy remote access while protecting the data. It is used by the teams in my organization that work from home. This enables them to login to the client environment from anywhere, while ensuring compliance, data security and seamless collaboratin.

Pros

  • Very little or no latency even on moderate connectivity; graphic quality is really high even on slow networks
  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA), encryption, and implementation/enforcement of policies
  • Easy integration with third party tools and VM Ware

Cons

  • For somebody without much experience on VDIs, the configuration is a bit difficult
  • The integration with legacy sustems like our own CRM tool is not really seamless.
  • Mobile functionality needs improvement. It is there as of now but could be a lot better.
  • It hleps with faster onboarding, of temp staff or new hires
  • Employees productivity is improved as they can access work environment from any device
  • This works as best business continuity plan as it can be accessed remotely.
Because it delivers what it promises, I am giving this rating. While there is scope for improvement, it does the job and meets our requirements reasonab;y well. It helps our remote resources connect to our environment securely and improves their productivity. We also get to access our client environment from remote locations and complete the tasks assigned to us.

Yes

It is the best for industries that are well regulated, such as finance and healthcare. It also suits well for organizations that are moving to a hybrid or cloud model.
It is not recommended for smaller organizations with limited resources. Also, it is not recommended for areas/locations with unstable network.
