Overall Satisfaction with OneStream

OneStream is our only financial budgeting and forecasting tool. It replaced a spiderweb of spreadsheets that we used to use for budgeting and forecasting, and has streamlined the process for the business leaders responsible. We are currently migrating to its new "SAIF" functionality as well, to provide us with an AI forecast.

  • Ease of Use for back-end administrators.

Cons

  • Reporting or Dashboarding.
  • Unique Terminology - Hard Learning Curve.
  • Able to eliminate two headcounts involved in our Budgeting and Forecasting processes.
  • Reduced errors from spreadsheets in the budgeting process for the board.
Once you have proper training, the workflow owners can navigate through it fairly easily. On the administrator side, the learning curve is relatively high, and we've found it challenging to recruit a OneStream "expert."
OneStream appears to be the best-in-class solution. Still, SAP Analytics Cloud integrates so seamlessly with SAP that it's tough to justify going "out of the family" when you're already deeply integrated with SAP.

OneStream is, I believe, best in class for Budgeting and Forecasting. Users appreciate the structured approach of inputting their numbers and/or reviewing AI suggestions and then signing off on their workflows. Administrators appreciate being able to oversee a large organization's processes from one seat, especially during Budgeting Season and the Forecast Process.
