Overall Satisfaction with OpenText TeamSite

OpenText TeamSite is the Enterprise Content Management system for our company. It is keeping our websites updated. [Used for] sharing content across multiple sites (manage content once and display multiple), and personalization.
  • Personalizing content - easy to setup the taxonomy to personalize the content
  • Being able to manage content in one place and display it on multiple websites
  • Ability to have the business areas support content changes without IT help
  • Make it a little easier to setup the content configurations for business (power users)
  • Every project met not only its functional outcome, but also financial.
OpenText went through an RFP process against IBM Content Management back in 2012. OpenText not only met our business and technical requirements, but we asked both vendors to show a use case and OpenText provided an extensive solution that IBM could not. Also the content publishing capabilities was light years ahead. A couple of years ago, a new business manager had a bias toward Drupal. In looking at both systems side by side, Drupal had many flaws that would cause the content editor to spend a lot longer to accomplish their tasks. There were some business and technical requirements either Drupal could not meet or you needed add-on products to satisfy what is already in OpenText TeamSte.
Well suited for a business that wants to update content themselves and have the ability to manage content in one area and use on multiple websites. Companies who want to personalize their content and secure their content. TeamSite is easy to use and new associates can pick up making content changes quickly.
