Oracle API Manager Review
Overall Satisfaction with Oracle API Manager
Oracle API Manager helps us to manage our Oracle Cloud Platform. It manages the resources of Oracle DB. But the performance is relatively slower compared to other DB. In our organisation it is being used by mainly IT department whose responsibility it is to manage data and application. For our front-end application we required a strong database and chose to implement this.
Pros
- Provides the customization to manage the Oracle DB.
- Better security mechanism provided which secures our data.
- Manages concurrent user login at the same time and distributes the resources as per requirements.
Cons
- It is slow as compared to other databases because of its high functionality.
- Sometimes it hangs due to network overuse.
- More features need to be added in terms of reporting.
- Oracle API Manager supports both REST & SOAP API's.
- Secure and attributable connection to back-end services and data sources. In addition to creating API's for querying data, you can also create API endpoints that can manipulate the data in the back-end databases.
- Although Oracle API Manager provides performance and a vast deal of features, to start with it is really important you train your people working on development, deployment and administrators to effectively use Oracle API Manager.
