Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Dyn Managed DNS

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is being used in the entire organization. We use it for DNS management. We have also tried dynamic IP, but that didn't worked for us. What I like about DNS is instant updates about DNS records and showing the preview before making it live.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Preview of all the changes before saving.
2FA
Ease of locating all the sub domains.

Cons

Hard to reset password. (Too many constraints)
At times the page does not load. We always need to switch to different network to use DYN/DNS which is not the same with other providers like AWS.
UI is too slow when you release new features.

Return on Investment

Not positive nor negative.
We find it too expensive.
No benefits for startup.

Support Rating

We had an average experience.

Usability

It's usable once you are used to it.

Likelihood to Recommend

Cloud distribution network is something you should look at.

Thank you for taking the time to share this valuable feedback. As the future of the combined Oracle and Dyn Edge Services platform becomes more clear, User Experience has been a major focal point. I don’t anticipate a single grand unveiling of a new look and feel but rather a regular release of iterative improvements. Additionally we've always taken security very seriously. As a standalone company we instituted DynID with 2FA and we're early to implement DNSSEC. Becoming part of Oracle has brought adherence to a multitude of new compliance requirements. Best DNS, but very expensive.
