Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Dyn Managed DNS

It is used to host our public facing DNS across the whole organization. It saves us the trouble of maintaining public DNS servers.
  • The console is straightforward and easy to use. I haven't needed to go searching for documentation on how to do certain things as it's easy enough to figure out just by looking at the console.
  • Sometimes, the web console runs very slowly. This is rare, though.
  • We don't have to spend manpower on maintaining our own public DNS servers. We can focus on the internal DNS servers that don't require PKI certificates.
We have not used other managed DNS products.
On one occasion I have had to contact Oracle Dyn Managed DNS support because their website was down and I was unable to log in, I received a reply from Dyn support in 8 minutes. The issue was resolved within a couple of hours. Then two weeks later, Dyn sent me a very detailed root cause analysis even though I never thought to ask for one. I was impressed.
I have never had a problem with it. I haven't compared it to other DNS options other than what is built into Windows Server.
We use it so we don't have to maintain our own public DNS servers and manage their up-time. For this purpose, Oracle Dyn Managed DNS works great.
