Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Dyn Managed DNS

My company uses Dyn's Managed DNS solution to dynamically adjust the DNS resolution of our URLs to target our preferred gear, accomplishing our HA/DR at the DNS level.
  • Dynamically modifies A records
  • Propogates DNS changes worldwide in minutes
  • Traffic Director is easy to manage
  • Would like to see the ability to link two (or more) traffic director services to perhaps use the same server pool and monitor and failover simultaneously.
  • It has allowed us to grow and scale upwards. We would not have an HA/DR solution that is affordable if not for Dyn.
We did have competitors offering similar solutions. We went with Dyn as they had just been (at that time) acquired by Oracle and we wanted the stability and support of a large company. We have been pleased with that choice.
Have only had to engage with Dyn support on an occasion or two, but they were comprehensive and thorough.
It executes perfectly the role which we needed.
Anything involving managed DNS as a service.
