Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Dyn Managed DNS

We have been using Dyn Managed DNS to manage our external facing server pool and web farm. It makes the management of DNS so much easier and performs accurate zone transfers to our external facing DNS servers. Our decision to switch to Dyn Managed DNS has saved me so much time to make it worth the investment.
  • Performs frequent and reliable zone transfers to my external facing name servers
  • Allows me to review my changes before sending it out for world wide replication
  • Some parts of the UI were a little confusing but after working with it for a short time I have become very familiar with the interface
  • A way to customize reports tailored to my needs would be helpful
  • Saves me time which saves the company money and a gives me more time to work on other major issues I encounter
  • Very reliable and fast.
  • Allows you to review changes before publishing them to the world
Dyn was recommended to me by a colleague and based on his recommendation, no other managed DNS vendors were considered.
The one time I had to call Dyn support they at first seemed to want to help, but then I was asked to try something and call back after that. When I called support again I was directed to someone else who was not familiar with my problem and I had to explain some parts of the problem all over again. It would be nice to be able to talk to the same person each time I call to discuss the same problem.
