Pros and Cons

We get alerts when something broken.
Doesn't impact the performance of the databases.
Flexibility to move the data.

Difficult to handle the Oracle RAC.
Does not scale well. Lot of configurations needed to be setup.
Difficult to replicate few data types.

Return on Investment

Faster replication.
Handling the configurations is difficult and Monitoring the GoldenGate is harder.

Likelihood to Recommend

Replication is awesome, transformation of data which is key for reporting purpose, handling multiple data sources and targets.
