Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Java SE Subscription

It is used by various departments in my organization. We are part of Procurement domain project where all the applications need end to end encryption and/or security. We use Oracle Java to ensure that. Oracle Java [is] also very suitable for our project as Java is platform independent. In our department, we also work with cloud applications as well. Java ensures the compatibility.
  • Oracle directly provides access to performance, stability and security updates.
  • Past version updates are also included in this subscription.
  • Management and Deployment features are also added in it.
  • It has a simple pricing policy.
  • Product Usage is limited to very few end users.
  • Subscription costs are bit high.
  • Common users are not [very] aware of this product.
  • Returns have turned profitable for our organization.
  • Our IT support team has become much more active.
  • IT infrastructures were enhanced after getting this subscription.

We didn't consider any others. As we [are] working on Oracle Java SE Subscription long [term] we have a separate team to ensure the quality of the tool we use and Oracle Java SE head's up in the right direction. It releases patches [and] updates whenever required and [up] till now, there have not been many setbacks that we [have] seen. Oracle Java SE Subscription fully satisfies our client's requirements as well which ensures high ROI.
The Support staffs work on the customer's problems very actively. Once a ticket [is] raised by the customer, it gets resolved within 24 hours. Instant solutions can be provided live by the team if it is an urgent situation. Live chat options are also available for the premium customers who need their issue to be resolved.

It is useful for large organizations having complex IT infrastructures. By this application, IT maintenance becomes easier and well suited in this domain. This application environment is not suitable for common users who have lesser knowledge about it. One who has greater insight using Java must have this subscription to use the entire features of this application.
