Oracle Linux is widely used across the database team in our organization since it is a powerful and robust operating system that helps us in the migration of old windows database servers. It offers zero-downtime upgrades and supports most of the applications by Oracle [Linux]. It comes with additional security by Oracle [Linux]. It is open-source that means it is free to use.

Cons

  • Some bugs are present.
  • UI can be improved.
  • No GUI.
  • Default tools provided by the tools are very less.

Oracle Linux is a powerful platform that is free to install and the upgrades are free as well. The memory management of the platform is great that provides high performance with even [fewer] resources. It is compatible with the other Oracle products as well and is a stable operating system.
