Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Linux

I first came across the Oracle Linux product when I was working for an Oracle partner Technology company. It was mainly used for training professionals in data administration such as Oracle database Administration Workshop I, Workshop II, Oracle Database 11g - Data Guard Administration, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), and security courses. Every command was run on top of this Linux distribution.
  • Shell Scripting
  • System Administration
  • Database Administration
  • User management
  • Slower than other Linux ( Say Linux mint, Ubuntu).
  • Lack of technical support.
  • Difficult to troubleshoot.
  • Improve learning curve.
  • Manage efficiently.
  • Gives access to some of the most cutting-edge innovations in Linux.

As a result of the migration from Red Hat Enterprise Linux to Oracle Linux, overall application performance was improved significantly. Oracle Enterprise Linux is pretty much based on the Red Hat Linux code, although it receives faster and more regular updates from Oracle. They have better security configurations. However, it is also missing a lot of packages that are usually available in other distributions.

Oracle Linux Support

One of the most robust Linux distributions is Redhat, its forks have given rise to infinite business models and distributions that have defined the market. Oracle Linux, obviously developed by the tech giant Oracle, is constantly releasing a flexible and incredibly stable product while adding its own bunch of new features. Among the most notable is the "Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel" (UEK).
