Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

I use Paychex Flex for my small business to efficiently pay Star and take care of paying payroll taxes. Makes it simple and easy.

Pros

  • Simple to set up for new employees.
  • Very easy to process payroll, even with bonus and incentives added.
  • Tracks 401k contributions.

Cons

  • Would like to see the cash needs for each payroll to clearly show what total cash, with taxes, needs to be available each payroll period. This would aid in more accurate transfers of cash into payroll account
  • The greatest ROI we receive is the time saved in efficient payroll processing.
  • We utilize the onboarding process although parts are not overly intuitive until after you have used the process

Some areas are not as intuitive as I feel is possible. However, once learned the processes are easy to follow. This may be amplified on my end because we don’t have a high volume of turnover or new hires
In my experience and observations, Paychex Flex is well suited for any small company. The primary negatives are the price is higher than other services available and sometimes getting a response from customer service rep can take 24-36 hours.
