Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Pixabay to search for free imagery on any design projects I have for multiple clients.

Pros and Cons

Good search tool

Need to improve its library of stock imagery
More natural and dynamic shots
More professional and modern illustration and vectors

Return on Investment

They don't have enough range of imagery, so I have had to look to other image sites, but this has not had a financial impact on the company
Taken longer to find the imagery I require to do my job

Pixabay is adequate but needs to up its image game in order to compete with other free stock sites, which have more extensive and better quality imagery available. I personally moved from using Pixabay to other free image sites due to the quality and range of images not improving over the years.

Pixabay is a very user-friendly searching system and filter tool. However, the imagery has not improved, expanded, or developed to include more diverse, energetic, or natural photography. Many of the imagery available are images I can already find on other paying images sites and can be quite posed. I have found I use Pixabay less and less over the years due to this and use other sites more as they have a more extensive image library on a more diverse range of topics and industries.
