Overall Satisfaction with Planful
Planful enables quick scenario analysis and financial projections to drive business and allow us to focus on developing the business. Reporting of actuals are quick and reliable, and we do not have to be concerned with data integrity. Planful also integrates seamlessly with our other data sources, allowing us to use Planful as a one-stop-shop.
- Phenomenal customer service, intending to build more than just business relationships
- Very fast updating of actual data following integration with our ERP system
- Strong focus on addressing missing features, providing a constantly evolving product
- Could better intertwine workforce planning with the financial planning environment
- Could be easier to plan or load Capex projections
- More dynamic planning training (have been working this; many other "areas of improvement" have been mitigated by product developments
- Month-end close time cut in half (closing in 3 days)
- Increased frequency of forecasts to monthly given ease of rolling in new actuals
- Various P&L views to report business drivers better
Our operational leadership have been granted accounts, and some of them dive into the central repository of reports to find the information they want before needing to go to their respective supporting analyst. Planful also enables quick analysis of strategic initiatives in addition to streamlined reporting to view trending productivity and profitability by business segment.
We still operate within a semi-hybrid use case of zero-based budgeting within excel models, but we house all of our projections within Planful at the end of all processes. We also use BI to dive into sub-GL information, and have a roundabout way of loading that detailed information to Planful. Ultimately, using Planful saves us a lot of time, and it makes it very easy to reference historical information.
