Overall Satisfaction with Planful

Planful is our internal finance tool used for reporting financial results and inputting/updating internal budgets. Planful allows all users to access relevant data (permissions based) in a clean and automated way. No more having to pass excel spreadsheets back and forth. Planful has also made the FP&A team's time to respond to data requests much faster.

Budget owners can now see the details that drive spend across departments and entities. This has led to better understanding of cost structure and ROI. Finance and budget owners now look at the same live budget templates, rather than passing excel files and worrying about version control, saving hours of check time.
Being able to use Planful for performance reporting and forecasting allows us to have a single source of truth and enables users to immediately update budgets based on the latest performance data
Planful was a more cost effective approach vs our previous platform (Adaptive) and is able to be managed fully within the FP&A team (no IT resources or outside consultants post-implementation)

Planful is a great tool for the small to medium enterprise, especially ones that deal with multiple departments, legal entities, or other complexities. Planful has strong integration capabilities with accounting systems and other data sources. The web base platform is very helpful for non-excel native users. Planful may not be the right choice for small businesses as many of the detailed functions may not be needed.
