Overall Satisfaction with PlanGrid

Plangrid let me access my drawings quickly wherever I was, and let me add notes while walking the job. Plus, it helped communicate issues in detail, so they could be handled promptly.
We began using Plangrid 3 years ago, when we did work for Deangelis Diamond. It was a great tool to access drawings and make notes on the drawings. However, six months ago our company decided to move to Procore, which is the platform we are using now.

Pros

  • Fast opening drawings
  • Compare sheets
  • Better annotations tools

Cons

  • Drawing tools similar to autocad
  • Better OCR for uploading sheets (titles)
  • I was ok with $20 for 500 sheets, but became discouraged when the cost doubled.
  • Definitely, it helped save paper, but also allowed us to show clients details of the drawings without the need of carrying so much "paper."
Procore has budget tools and schedules. However, Plangrid handles drawings better.
Plangrid is a great tool, a must have. You have your drawings with you at all times and can collaborate from anywhere.
