Planview is being used across the organization to monitor and improve project compliance, financial forecasting and demand management.

Pros

  • Intuitive and easy to use.
  • Easily customizable to match individual department needs.
  • Well-integrated with business intelligence and analytics suite.

Cons

  • More options (apart from Business Objects and SSAS) in BI reporting.
  • Version control for project and financial plans
  • Single version of truth for project and program managers, reduction in redundant efforts, better planning of project finances.
Planview would be more beneficial to implement if it is used organization-wide. It might not be as cost-effective for just an individual department.
