Portainer is well suited for small to medium-sized deployments, developer environments, and teams collaborating on Docker projects. Its user-friendly interface simplifies container management, making it accessible to users with varying technical expertise. It is particularly useful for testing and staging environments, allowing quick creation and management of temporary environments. However, for complex orchestrations and large-scale clusters, Portainer's capabilities may be limited compared to specialized tools like Kubernetes.
