Overall Satisfaction with PowerDMS
Power DMS is currently being used by our police department and was recently picked up by our county to be used at other agencies within our county. At our police department, we use it not only to help us in our accreditation process but for a number of things such as training, creating and editing of general orders, SOP's, etc.
- Storage and maintenance of documents. Being able to create an order that has an audit trail of when it was created, input in the creation of the document, and setting due dates and reminders.
- Training needs/certificates for ongoing courses that need to be done annually or quarterly.
- No cons so far!
Power DMS was the only product we looked at. Being that it was pushed positively by CALEA and is one of their tools used to successfully manage accreditation it was a no brainer the support from Power DMS was also A+ they worked with us throughout our initial set-up.

3 - Someone who has first-hand knowledge of the system (a daily user). An administrator that knows the back end of the system who is able to set up users, groups, workflows, reminders, security of groups, creating certificates and course that need to be done annually and able to run different reports.

I wouldn't change a thing. PowerDMS has been a game-changer for our organization and we use it daily to push out orders to training/courses and quizzes. It is also been tremendous in managing our accreditation needs and keeping us on track with our goals and reaccreditation.

When we first started using PowerDMS we actually had once-a-week teleconference calls with support to go over any issues that we may have encountered while first learning to use PowerDMS. At one point Power DMS even sent out a trainer to teach our administrative staff the many different uses of PowerDMS and how to use the system.
