Overall Satisfaction with Printanista
We use Printanista for capturing meter reads automatically and monitoring the toner levels for specific customers. For the most part the program works well. There are various reports and alerts that leave us wondering how accurate the information is and why the alert was triggered. There have been lots of program updates over the past # of months that I think have been reactive and not fully tested as the some of the updates may have fixed some problems but then they also created other problems. We also use a program called Print Releaf - a reforestation program that plants trees based on our customer's copy / print volume - Printanista is used to link the volumes in this program. Tech support can be slow getting back to you but can log in remotely and see our data behind the scenes and often can find what is causing our issues. Tech support is usually pleasant to take to on the phone. There is a lot of regular maintenance to keeping data correct. We get billed for # of devices that are active and not active - double billed if the same device is seen multiple times.
Pros
- Pulling in the meter read to our Service software - less manual entry
- Seeing the Toner levels and history of supply replacement
- Sending / Installing Printanista at the customer site is much easier than years ago.
Cons
- Not billing for multiple of the same device / devices that have not reported for X # of months
- Faster response to request for assistance
- Have the Notes tab light up if there is a note / message attached
- Not having to call / fax / email / enter meter reads - is huge
- Not having excess toner sitting on the Customers shelf - is huge
- Being able to log into the devices is huge - being able to address issues remotely
- Being able to see the supply levels helps ensure Tech's have needed parts and can address the call just before the customer is aware there is a problem
