Overall Satisfaction with Progress Sitefinity
My organization uses two Sitefinity web systems for the content management of the website. The content is developed by less than ten employees but is published for a public facing website. We use Sitefinity to organise various project resources such as developed documents and training resources. We also develop custom.NET controls for various web function within the CMS framework.
- Organize website
- Common built-in features
- Current updates
- Upgrades are tedious
- Heavy framework means loading is slow
- Options for budget users
Joomla! did not have the stability we needed. WordPress did not offer a .net friendly environment so it made more sense to go with Sitefinity. With Sitefinity we have the endless possibilities when it comes to developing our own web controls and working with the CMS API. Since our developers were already familiar with c# this just made sense.
