Overall Satisfaction with Progress Sitefinity

We use it internally and are also a solutions partner that implements Sitefinity for our clients, should the solution meet their requirements. On a whole, the Sitefinity product comes with a large tool kit and can handle many business requirements with out-of-the-box functionality. Its open API makes it easy to integrate with other systems as well.
  • Scales well
  • Fully integrated marketing features
  • Very strong API layer
  • Many out-of-the-box integrations available
  • Their eCommerce add-on has a very limited feature set
  • Support for their partners can be better
  • Pricing can be confusing
We prefer Sitefinity to any of the open source solutions out there for the basic arguments you will typically hear. Additionally, Sitefinity fit well into our .NET development stack and competency we have on staff. Relative to Sitecore, Sitefinity seemed to offer better value and didn't require as much customization to meet customer needs.
Sitefinity is a great fit for medium to enterprise level websites that require a robust WCM solution that can integrate with other systems, be customized to meet business requirements and can scale as needed. Implementation will require a partner or individual that is well-versed in Sitefinity. If implemented correctly, managing content for non-technical and business users is very simple and straightforward.

Using Progress Sitefinity

It is very easy to administer for non-technical folks. The editor and backend interface is among the best I've seen.

Yes - It works well if you work within the confines of the template. We typically don't use the built-in mobile interface since most of our designs are very customized.
