Overall Satisfaction with Projectplace

We are using Projectplace to allow collaboration between various sites of our organization and external partners. The sharing of documents with version control is very important. The review and sharing of documents can be easily arranged from the document meta data. We also use the board cards for teams or individuals. More and more persons are involved and also more projects are added.

Pros

  • Board cards for different boards online.
  • Update documents with version control and sharing them for review.
  • Conversations to share announcements to all members.

Cons

  • At documents overview the column width should be adjustable and some fields selectable.
  • On documents the method of Open, Save and Open & Lock works differently on various explorers. Makes instructions to new users difficult.
  • We would like to have the document version number available in a Word document. Manual synchronization is not working.
  • No hard figures but we all say miscommunications costs a lot, we probably saved a lot.
Projectplace is well suited for collaboration between multiple groups or organizations in various locations sharing documents to work on. It is also well suited to have scrum boards for various groups or even individuals.
