Overall Satisfaction with Pure Storage FlashArray
It's used across the entire organization to house virtual machines and containers with varied workloads and purposes. It speeds our virtualization, containerization, and database systems with its incredibly fast and highly reliable storage.
Pros
- A single pane of glass management that is incredibly simple to use.
- Incredibly fast initial and subsequent deployments.
- The deduplication/compression and speed exceed our expectations.
Cons
- I can't think of a single thing, to be honest.
- We can run more VMS and containers with better performance than on our previous SANs.
- We can utilize more databases, especially replicated, as the dedup and compression are amazing.
- We spend less time managing the SAN than ever before.
Pure Storage is cheaper to run and maintain, much simpler to manage, and outperforms the competition.

Yes - The upgrades went perfectly! There was zero down time. I could not be more pleased with the upgrades. We have been through a few of them now.

2 - We have two engineers that manage our FlashArray, but it is "used" by every person in the company and all of our clients....it drives our backend processes.
2 - Really you only need one person, if that, but we have two, just to share responsibilities.

Pure support is amazing...they monitor the SAN with us to inform us of any issues. It gives a great level of confidence. Also, they provide a free upgrade after the 3rd year of support, which is amazing.
During our upgrade process, they held our hand and walked us through what they were going to do and when... We felt like communication with them was easy and they spared no detail during the process to help us feel good about what was going to happen. Was the smoothest upgrade we have ever had.

- I haven't found a single cumbersone item on this SAN yet...after 3 years of use.
Yes - the Pure1 Web interface is wonderful and so easy to manage, even on a mobile device.
