Overall Satisfaction with Pure Storage FlashArray

We use Pure Storage for critical workloads such as VDI and SQL. We are not using Pure Storage to its fullest at my current organization. At a previous organization we used snapshots, replication cross datacenter and to cloud.
  • Replication
  • Vcenter and vrops integration
  • Snapshot restore
  • Monitoring and alerting
  • Uptime, we have had no issues
  • Upgrades are simple and seamless
  • New controller upgrades every 3 years means we are no longer retiring storage at 5 years, we get a new array every 3 years.
Pure Storage is just simple and it just works.
It is well suited for workloads that require little to no latency such as SQL. I wouldn’t use it for unstructured or file data.
