Overall Satisfaction with Read&Write

We use read-and-write for about 8 hours a day at our school for students with disabilities. It's becomes an amazing tool for making learning and technology accessible for all students.

Pros

  • Read aloud.
  • Word prediction.
  • Definition lookup.
  • Collect and summarize data.

Cons

  • I think a feature to choose to have it auto-load on websites instead of needing to click on the extension would be helpful.
  • Students are more engaged because they have the tools to understand work.
  • Which has saved time in the classroom.
  • It made work adaptive for students across all grade levels (K12) and classes.
Seeing students engaged and excited to learn again is heartwarming because it's accessible!

We love using it in our ELA and LMS classes, but we have also seen benefits in our foreign language classes. It doesn't work well in math classes for most situations but we still encourage them to use it for our friends with dyscalculia, we've seen such an improvement there!
