Overall Satisfaction with Read&Write
Read&Write is an integral tool used in my school district. I work with many students who have difficulty with writing and spelling, and this extension helps them to communicate their knowledge with greater efficiency and independence. It is easy to use, and the students have done well using it independently after being taught the buttons and their functions.
Pros
- Recording voice and translating into typed text
- Word prediction
- Grouping information based on highlighted color that is pulled from the internet for research
- Ease of use
Cons
- I feel like the program is easy to use and haven't encountered any issues
- Maybe improving the dictionary for the word prediction
- I don't have hard numbers but I know at least 15 students that I work with personally who have benefitted from the program during this school year alone.
I have students who use the program from grades 3-12.
A fifth-grade student with dysgraphia who can't produce legible writing but can produce voice-to-text and typed content that meets grade expectations.
