Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

we use Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) on multiple programs along with windows. upgrade packages were hard to aquire but have gotten better. Use depends on the program environments that we are using. some are large scale and some are small with only a few Linux workstations and one or 2 servers. the bigger environments can have up to 2 or 3 hundred workstations using Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

Pros

  • speed is good
  • overall look has gotten better with the newer versions
  • cmd line and GUI look and feel better with new version

Cons

  • patching could run smoother
  • customers] (engineers) seem to have good experience with the product
the users seem to be less likely to call on trouble calls
We also still have older Unix systems like Solaris. But Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is much easier to use.

it is well suited on multiple environments in a mixed environment and users do like the newer version Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 10
