Pros
- Auditing and compliance
- Ansible! Scales deployment and administration really well.
- It ain't the other awful OS
- Anything that relies on pretty pictures for the user sucks. love the CLI
- excellent man pages
- easy to implement SCAP compliance
- Patching is awesome
Cons
- packing repos for air-gap environments to facilitate patching
- patch digests specifying only security-related updates
- Seamless replacement for obsolescent UNIX variants.
- Porting from UNIX to Linux is fairly straight forward.
