Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

We run Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8-9 virtual machines based on the preferred recommendations of a number of our software vendors for telecommunications related services. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) helps us by providing a stable platform for vendors to support and develop their applications and updates for.

Pros

  • Stability: Takes a lickin' keeps on tickin'
  • Frequent updates: Always keeps up with any detected vulnerabilities.
  • Compatibility with newer and older hardware and software.

Cons

  • I would like to see that Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) continues to support older and legacy hardware to reduce E-waste around the planet.
  • Less downtime, less trouble calls.
Nothing's perfect, there is always room for improvement.
