Pros

Stability: Takes a lickin' keeps on tickin'
Frequent updates: Always keeps up with any detected vulnerabilities.
Compatibility with newer and older hardware and software.

Cons

I would like to see that Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) continues to support older and legacy hardware to reduce E-waste around the planet.

Less downtime, less trouble calls.

Anyone I know who would like to immerse themselves in Linux and Open Source needs to use Red Hat's offerings, either at work or home. After 10+ years of working in other flavors of Linux at home in my lab, I find the community and support for Red Hat Enterprise to be outstanding.
