RingEX - central to your small business
Overall Satisfaction with RingCentral MVP
RingEX is the phone system for my business. I am only one user, but I have a VOIP desk phone and can use the mobile app as well. The system allows me to use my main business number to make/receive calls, send text messages and set up conference calls.
Pros
- The online interface is easy to set up for managing call forwarding based on time of day or manual settings.
- Mobile app enables calling from the business number from my cell phone. This provides consistency for which number folks use to call back.
- Another great feature is call blocking. If there are too many junk calls, once you get one you just block that number.
- Customer support is great.
- Many features including conferencing, fax, and webinars.
Cons
- Poor communication - the app did not work for a week after an IOS update and the company never communicated about the issue.
- You are at the mercy of your internet connection. The quality of the connection can be affected by bandwidth. Not RingEX 's fault, but a limitation for some.
- It has made handling phone calls much easier. Call forwarding is so much easier than from the POTS system I was using. I am missing a lot less phone calls and they are forwarded correctly. So that is a positive impact on ROI.
- The overall cost of the system is about 40% less than what I was paying with the regular telephone company. Plus there are so many more features as well.
- Using RingEX eliminated the need for a virtual fax service which also eliminated another annual cost.
I looked at Grasshopper and Nextiva, plus options from AT&T. RingEX combined the combination of value and features that I was looking for in a provider. The feature set RingEX offers along with the mobile app made them the clear choice for my needs. Again RingEX was a perfect fit offering a small business phone system, that was expandable when the time came. It can [be used] with a virtual fax number and conference call service, eliminating the need for other providers. At the time of the decision RingCentral had better reviews and more of them as well. Plus I had first hand testimonial from a current user. So the decision was relatively easy.
