Overall Satisfaction with RingCentral

We use RingCentral as our mainline system for customers, enquiries and support calls. Additionally we use the system internally for calls and conference meetings. The flexibility of using a combination of hardware phones and soft phones on both Macs and PCs was initially why we chose RingCentral. When out of the office or away from computers we can all keep in contact with each other using the apps for iOS and Android phones. We can also divert external calls to staff out in the field. Lastly due to the nature of our products and services we arrange online demos and training using the RingCentral system by sharing our computer screens with customers and prospects and we can even record the session and send it to the customer afterwards.

  • Call Log Reporting
  • Unable to block number using the Mac Desktop version
  • Unable to synchronise contacts with iCloud contacts
  • Unable to synchronise contacts with Insightly CRM
  • Unable to synchronise call logs within Insightly CRM
  • We don't need a receptionist.
  • We are still waiting for the PC Desktop version to be compatible with Windows 10.
  • Don't need to subscribe to a third party provider for our 'Webex' type meetings.
  • iPecs was very unreliable, expensive and almost impossible to configure.
  • LG Ericsson was similar, although we had to pay for additional licenses for the smartphone application users.
  • Vonage was very basic and we lost a lot of calls.
RingCentral is great for software companies who need to train or demonstrate their software and don't need to be tied to a desk to make or receive calls.
